Birthday !

well ... Yesterday was my birthday ... I had apple pie for breakfast, went out to lunch with my sister, and ordered pizza for dinner (1st time since 1997) so, I did spoil myself a little. I dug out my "baby book" of birthdays and christmases and other important holidays ... so I am sharing a few pages from that book ... I belive my Mom has all the pictures of holidays after 1970, I'll hunt around for them and post some later if I find them ... in the mean-time... I hope you giggle along with me

Birthday 1970 ... this is the only birthday party I remember as a child ... the next was my 18th Birtday (over 100 people showed up for that one) ... those sure are some ugly cupcakes , I wonder what flavor they were

well .. I feel 19 yrs old again ... I got the Gene Loves Jezebel CD yesterday and I am loving it too much , I feel pretty silly loving it so much, but it holds a lot of great memories 1984 and 1985 were good years for me ... and this was my first "goth" album, so it opened the door to other swell bands like Bauhaus and Shriekback ... here are some pictures from those great years , I hope you don't laugh too hard

What a week !

I can't believe a week has past already. My how time flies ... I've been out running around all week. Farmers Market is always fun but I truly enjoy "out to lunch" at Carras park ... I made it out Wednesday for some free music and good eatin', although I didn't see any of my old friends and didn't make any new ones, I still had fun by myself... Then I topped off the day with a trip through Rockin' Rudy's and bought a fun "a Perfect Circle" CD (eMOTIVe) a collection of cover songs done in that special Maynard James Keenan style ... And I got the new N.I.N. (with teeth) ... And I was told that the Gene Loves Jezebel "promise" CD will be in tomorrow ... ooooh I can't wait!
and then there is the farmers market again tomorrow ... So if I don't get rained on I expect to have another splendid-spiffy day ! gleee !

Dori has been more than a sister to me , she has been my best friend through out my entire life ... She has helped me make it through the hardest struggles, held my hand in the emergency room on several occasions, held me and comforted me through dark sleepless nights, took care of me at times when I couldn't take care of myself, she has stuck with me and unconditionally loved me when the rest of the world rejected me and unjustly judged me ... Dori is a woman who cares about her friends and family so much that she will sacrifice her own comfort to help others. I am blessed to have her as a sister, As anyone is blessed to have her in their lives.

I only have one more truck-load of stuff to move .. I'll get it tomorrow ... It has been a busy busy week and Dori wrenched her back trying to lift my trunk full of cassette tapes (sorry sis) I must say My Sisters are terrific ! They spent all weekend helping me move and helped get my new place put together... I am very grateful to have them in my life

I was tempted to call Katie Q right away and ask her to drive up and see it hehe .. So, I was at the Wal*mart the other day, with my sister Dori, and she pointed out some yummy peanutbutter cream cookies (generic brand) that were on sale and suggested I might like to get some ... I explained to her that I can't get those anymore ... "Why?" she asked ... Well, because I'm not "trailer trash" anymore ! ... LMAO! (I got them anyway) . BUT ! I got some WONDER BREAD and STARBUCKS coffee too !
the combination of Starbucks espresso and "gateway of India" incense makes my new place smell like Butterfly Herbs Coffee house ... Mmmm... Yummmmy !

I'm moving !

I'm moving accross town ... I've been packing stuff for the past few days ... this has given me the opportunity to do some invintory .. LOL ... FUN !
I have a lot more music equipment and stuff than I realized ... 3 amplifiers, 1 pre-amp, 3 recievers, 4 turntables, 3 cassette dubbing decks, only one CD player ? ... but it's a 5 disc changer, so I guess that counts for something, hmmm... several crates of vinyl LPs, tons of cassette tapes (3x2x2 traveling trunk full) and boxes and boxes of CDs ... I feel that if I started listening to ALL of this music, I would die of old age before I finished ... it is nice having such a large assortment of tunes, I'm always pleased with the "soundtrack of my life" ... gleee !
Anyway ... I'm moving this weekend so I don't know when I'll get the phone transfered over to the new place, it might be a few days ... I'll post a picture as soon as I'm back online

I'm a workin'man

Well... After being on "vacation" for a few years, I am back to being a workin' man. I finally started doing some digital-editing-recording for Rockin' Rudy's , although, IF it takes off well ... and IF it looks like I can make REAL money at it ... then I am thinking of making it my own bussiness and Rudy's will contract jobs to me ... either way, it is fun to be playing with music again . I think Music is my true love and obsession ... Art comes in at a close second ... but music wins by a nose

Congrats to the Graduates ... Today is graduation day in Missoula. My Niece is graduating from highschool soon , Way To Go !

AGITATED

I feel the need to say "I'm sorry" to everyone ... This past month has been sickeningly stressful. Along with being sick and tired, I have slipped into a slump and as depressing as it sounds, I don't have the strength to claw my way out at this moment ... I don't like to be at the mercy of the weather but I am hoping that spring will arrive soon and the sun will wake me up again.
My guests have over-stayed their welcome and it is time for them to leave, but I have a big dumb heart and I can't kick them out into the street with no place to go. The dog was sick all last week and now the cat is sick, which is sad because he has found a sweet spot in my heart and it hurts to see him suffering ... He is a big blob of loving-kindness who likes to have his belly rubbed ... Of all my guests, I will miss him when they all leave.
Hopefully next week things will look better ...

I seem to have lost my head

I managed to get two pictures put up this month ... I don't know what is going on . I do know that I have been stressed out to the max this past month and I can't get motivated to do anything creative ... I have about ten pictures started and can't seem to finish any of them ... Maybe it's the medication ? ... Maybe it's the weather ? ... Maybe it's not having any time to myself ? (I can't even get this typed out without being interrupted) "what 'cha doing?" "what's a blog?" ... And anyone who knows me, knows that I can't draw with someone looking over my shoulder. So, since I can't seem to get anything done, I am posting pictures from other artists that I admire ... I hope you like them too (I know Ben will like them ...hehehe)

I was inspired by Jan Sadeck's photography back in the 80s ... I thought this was a great way to "tie" together two extreem versions of beautiful women

RORSCHACH ... inkblot nude ... this was originally a study of light and shadow. the design of it always reminded me of an inkblot test picture ... it looks creepy from accross the room ...heeheehee

Nude ... a naked lady ... every artist loves to study the human form ... but does every viewer love to look at pictures of nudes ? ... I belive we all have a desire to see the secrets hidden behind the curtain
