MAREE !!!

Well ... I just got word that it is Maree's Birthday !!!

Maree is another WONDERFUL Australian in Melbourne. My first Aussie friend and one of my first internet friends ... She keeps me company in the wee hours of sleepless insomniatic nights ... She introduced me to the music of Alex Lloyd (thank you thank you thank you) ... She makes me laugh my fu**ing ass off ... I love her with all my heart !!!

There sure are a lot of Birthdays this time of year , I should start a "Happy Birthday" BLOG

I work odd hours of the day and night, and I also volunteer help at a whale and dolphin centre.I love going to concerts and live music, and I go when I can but of course moneys tight. I am nearly 5 foot tall and have long brown hair, yes my son is taller than me.

well I would have love to keep the magpies, and they do make great pets, like a dog they are very loyal, and gentle. they bring you presents as well, that is like a worm or a spider or a piece of stick, and give it to you. they become friendly very easily and take to you as if you are their mother. They grow quickly and I have handed them over to another fauna rescue/release person who has a huge aviary and a few other baby magpies, they need to learn to fly and build up wing strength. they are in the country and will be released there in January, with the other babies. My house is in the suburbs and I have a lot of cats, and sometimes foxes roaming around at night. I also have a small dog, who was abandoned and abused and I took him in. He is a tenterfield terrier, small like a chiawowa, but does not look like one.I also have a frog, a sleepy lizard and 2 longnecked turtles. I have a galah that I rescued when it was shot, that lives at my mums in a bigger cage. It can't fly the bullet damaged the wing. I have had 1 of my turtles for 27 years and the galah for around 17 years. You said your dad had a magpie when he was younger. was that in America or was he here in Australia? I didn't know you had magpies over there, or was your dad in Australia at the time.

BETHANY ... it sounds like you have your hands full with all your critters (I only have some house plants) I'm glad to hear that the little magpie will be growing up healthy and happy ... No, non of my family has been to Australia, but I plan to go as soon as I win the LOTTERY !!! either that or bring all you Aussies over here for a BBQ (hee hee)

We have a lot of magpies in Montana --> http://fwp.mt.gov/fieldguide/mediaDisplay.aspx?id=2302&elcode=ABPAV09010

here is a map ... I live in Missoula ... it looks like we have plenty here .
